Driving Around

Sometimes I just like driving around. Whenever I see great photo opportunities I never have my camera, and whenever I have my camera I'm not anywhere interesting.

This is the wonderfulness of Beverly Hills. I'm always driving on Santa Monica so I decided to take a few pictures while on Santa Monica. One day, I will explore the neighborhood even more, but for right now, this is what you get! :)

I saw this house and thought it was really cute. Very cozy and cottage looking.

Next I was in Santa Monica and saw this little girl holding her pumpkin following her dad. It was really cute. It was a wednesday, which meant they were at the farmers market.

This was at The Grove. It was the little stream near the bridge. I love water pictures, ahh movement. So pretty.

Well that's it for now. I will update on different photos later!

Pumpkin Patch

I went to the pumpkin patch in West Hollywood today. I went early in the morning, so there weren't that many people or children there. I should have gone later. But then at the entrance there was a sign that specifically said no photographing of people without their permission. So I just took pictures of a few things that I saw, there wasn't much because none of the fun and games were open yet. only the pumpkins.

Addy

I really wanted to start photographing children, so over the summer I asked Addy's mom if I could use her to practice on.

Addy was very easy to photograph. She had just woken up from a nap right before taking these photos but she was a delight to photograph.

All you needed was a little bit of candy to persuade her to look at the camera..

You can see her here holding a smartie. And she made those pieces of candy last.

Here she is taking off her ballet shoes.

Here, her mom asked her to make a scary face... This was her scary face.

Eyes

I have this thing where I tend to delete blog posts when I get tired of them. I'm going to try not and do that anymore.

Anyways, I'm experimenting with different lighting styles. I felt this one was appropriate for this photo.

Sarah & Marlon's Wedding

This past weekend was Sarah and Marlon's wedding. They had their wedding at the Ambassador Campus Garden in Pasadena and everything was beautiful.

Here's Sarah's dress, shoes, bouquet, and bridesmaid's dresses.

Marlon knew that Sarah was going to crave doughnuts so he told the bridesmaid not to let her eat any doughnuts while getting ready. Why? So that he could send her a box of them, with a letter.

It definitely takes girls longer to get ready than the boys.

The bridesmaids.

One of the ring bearers. He's so adorable.

Sarah walking down the aisle with her dad.

Walking down the aisle as a married couple!

The bridal party.

There was a football game going on all afternoon. The wedding ceremony had to be pushed back half an hour during their half time, and they extended their half time, so that it would be quiet for the ceremony. So obviously, Sarah had to take a picture with the football team.

Cutesy photos of the newlyweds.

The first dance between husband and wife.

The drunken groomsman. He missed most of the night.

Pretty lanterns and lights.

Another one of the the ring bearers doing the worm on the dance floor.

Cake.

Father daughter dance.

Mother son dance.

All the single ladies. Tossing the bouquet.

All the single men. Tossing the boutonniere. Sarah forgot to wear her garter.

The perfect ending to the perfect night.

Weddings

This summer I was able to photograph a few wedding shoots, thanks to my friend Sarah who is the Events Coordinator at the Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club. She let me observe and take photos of weddings that were going at the country club for my own experience as a photographer and so that I could get ideas for my sister's wedding.

This is the first wedding that I went to at the country club. I really like this picture because the clouds were just gorgeous!

This is the second wedding that I went to. I really like this picture because the sun.

This photo I like because the bride is actually a dancer, so she brought some of her dancing experience in to the picture- arching her back.
Beautiful.

Next saturday I get to work with Christine who is a photographer, and she is letting me come along to a wedding shoot that she is doing so that I get more experience doing wedding photography.

**edit** Photos were edited and re-uploaded after the initial posting so that when clicking on photos they become larger.
